The Biosecurity and Agriculture Management Act 2007 allows a declared pest rate to be raised to manage priority declared pests. The CWBA applied for its first Declared Pest Rate to be implemented across the region in 2017-2018.
The 2025-2026 CWBA Declared Pest Rate is:
0.04032 cents in the dollar on the unimproved value of freehold land in the local government districts of Dalwallinu, Koorda, Morawa and Perenjori, that is no less than 100 hectares in area with a minimum rate payable amount of $91;
The Declared Pest Rate will be matched dollar for dollar by the Government and funds can only be spent within our area of operation. This year, 14 biosecurity groups will have a rate applied to their area of operation, with approx. 22,000 landholders being issued a rate invoice.
Important Notice
The CWBA will commence the process of planning for and preparing for the 2026-2027 Decalred Pest Rate in October 2025.
